Tax rate of car in Nepal for fiscal Year 2080/2081
Driving a car on the Nepal road has become popular to show people lifestyle. To make it legal, a certain amount should be paid to the government annually, commonly known as tax.
Understanding the rate
The tax that one must pay on a car is categorized by fuel type. The current rates (as of Fiscal Year 2080–81) are broken down as follows:

Renewal Charges:
The renewal charge varies from the engine capacity of the vehicle. Vehicles with an engine capacity up to 1300 cc have a renewal fee of Rs 5,500 and Vehicles with an engine capacity ranging from 1301 to 2000 cc have a fee of Rs 6,000.

The Renewal Process
The following things are required for a smooth renewal:
Gather Documents: Get the valid insurance documents and the blue book (registration document) for your two-wheeler prepared.
Visit the Office: Head to your local Department of Transport Management (DoTM) office.
Make the Payment: At the right counter, pay the renewal charge and calculate tax. They may take payments online or in cash.
Renewal Complete: The Department Of Traffic Management(DOTM) will renew your blue book with the most recent tax validity after the payment has been validated.
