DongFeng Nammi 01 Launched in Nepal : Three Exclusive Variants with starting Price of Rs. 29.99 Lakh
One of the largest and most renowned Chinese automobile manufacturers is Dongfeng Motor Corporation, or simply Dongfeng.Founded in 1969, it grew to become a giant corporation that produces a variety of vehicles, such as passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and new energy vehicles, with its headquarters in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Its business structure ranges from various smaller companies to partnerships with big car brands like Nissan, Honda, Peugeot, and Renault. These very brands do a huge amount of business both in China and overseas.
MAW Vriddhi is a new distributor of Dongfeng Passenger Vehicles in Nepal. Enabling the Nammi 01, a Luxury Electric Hatchback, exclusively designed for the Nepali market is quite exciting. Nammi 01 is the first product in the line. The model uses advanced Dongfeng Quantum Architecture S3 Platform for performance, energy efficiency and compatibility. This platform pushes more features and smart design into the driving experience. The Nammi electric hatchback comes in three variants, with prices from Rs 29.99 lakh to Rs 34.99 lakh.
Price and Variants
The Dongfeng Nammi 01 comes in three variants: E1, E2, and E3, each for different needs and budgets. The basic variant, E1 costs NPR 29,99,000 and has a 31.4 kWh battery giving a range of 237 km according to WLTP. The mid-range E2 variant retails at NPR 31,99,000, offering the same battery and range as E1 but with extra smart features, better interior options and Alloy wheels with bigger size tyre. The E3 variant, starting at NPR 34,99,000 at the very top, is fitted with a bigger 42.3 kWh battery, for an expanded range of 317 km WLTP. Another NPR 50,000 will be added for dual-tone color options.
Performance and Battery
The Dongfeng Nammi 01 comes with two batteries: a 31.4 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery mounted in the E1 and E2 variants and a bigger 42.3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery mounted on the E3 variant. The small-battery variant makes a WLTP at 237 km in range, while the bigger one stretches to 317 km on the same cycle. Both variants of batteries are powered by a 70 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, which produces a power of 95.17 PS and torque of 160 Nm. The charging options available on the Nammi 01 are 4 hours with an 11 kW AC charger, 14 hours with a 3.3 kW AC charger, and fast DC charging from 30% to 80% charge in 30 minutes.
Dimensions and Features
The Dongfeng Nammi 01 is the compact electric hatchback, which is 4030 mm in length, 1810 mm in width, and 1570 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 2660 mm, while its ground clearance is 176 mm. Its interior is designed for maximum comfort for everyone inside, with luxurious features that include frameless doors, memory seating, and an Intelligent AC System with multiple modes like Baby Care and Rest Mode.The Nammi includes features like proximity lock/unlock, multicolor ambient lighting, a flat-folding front seat with a rest mode, and an expandable boot space of up to 945L. Additionally, it features a fully automatic parking system and three driving modes (Normal, Eco, Sport).
Safety Features
The Dongfeng Nammi 01 is available with all-around safety features. It has dual airbags, ABS, and EBD on all variants. It also comes with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, where advanced safety functions like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking are included. Other features include a 360-degree panoramic camera and a parking distance control to ensure safe parking. These facilities come together to create the C-NCAP 5-star safety level for the Nammi 01.
Color Options
The Dongfeng Nammi 01 is available in seven colors: White, Blue, Purple, Green, and various dual-tone combinations. The interior features Black & White or Black & Grey options, offering a blend of style and luxury. For dual-tone options an additional cost of Rs. 50,000 is added.
