2024-11-11 Mahindra to unveil their Two New Car in India Soon : All-New XEV 9e and BE 6e

Mahindra is gearing up to launch two all-electric SUVs—the XEV 9e and the BE 6e—on November 26, 2024, under its XEV and BE brands. The company has already teased the exterior design of these models, and a new teaser now offers a sneak peek at their interiors.

The BE 6e’s interior boasts a cockpit-inspired split center console with a two-spoke steering wheel and dual screens for infotainment and the instrument cluster, likely over 10.25 inches in size. The steering wheel has an illuminated BE logo and dual toggle switches, along with regenerative braking buttons. It also features futuristic front seats with pillar-mounted headrests and a panoramic roof with a geometric pattern.

In contrast, the XEV 9e presents a triple-screen layout and high-tech design elements, including a touch-based control panel similar to those in Tata Motors' vehicles, with access to air conditioning, hazard lights, and other functions. The center console includes an illuminated gear selector that looks like an upgrade from the XUV400, plus controls for an electronic parking brake, TCS, and more. This model also offers a panoramic roof featuring the illuminated ‘Infinity’ logo.

The XEV 9e has a more classic seat design with visible mounts for optional rear-seat entertainment screens. It shares a similar steering wheel with the BE 6e, with added toggle buttons for ADAS functions. Key highlights also include ambient lighting, leatherette upholstery, LED cabin lighting, and illuminated accents. It remains to be seen how many of these features will make it into the final production models.

Both the XEV 9e and BE 6e are built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, designed to meet advanced safety standards with a high-efficiency drivetrain optimized for range. Mahindra suggests the XEV 9e will set a new standard for electric luxury, combining premium materials and cutting-edge technology, and is expected to compete with upcoming models like the Tata Harrier EV. While battery, motor, and range details remain undisclosed, the XEV 9e will reportedly share its powertrain and battery with the BE 6e.
