Nammi EV Price Hike: Increases Up to NPR 1 Lakh
Ever since its launch, Nammi EV has been the talk of the Nepalese market for its innovative features, sleek design, and competitive pricing. The launch of its first international right-hand-drive model, introduced from Nepal, marked a big day for the brand to show its ambitions to the world. However, with the expiry of its introductory pricing this month, Nammi EV is increasing the prices of its variants. While the price increment reflects market dynamics, a question arises as to how far it will affect the popularity of Nammi and the growth in Nepal's electric vehicle market.
Revised Pricing Details
Nammi EV was initially priced between NPR 29.99 lakh and NPR 34.99 lakh as an introductory offer. While this pricing drew a good customer base, the expiration of this offer has brought new rates into effect. Here's a breakdown:
- Nammi E1: NPR 30,24,000 (an increase of NPR 25,000)
- Nammi E2: NPR 32,49,000 (an increase of NPR 50,000)
- Nammi E3: NPR 35,99,000 (an increase of NPR 1,00,000)

Market Impact and Buyer Considerations
The price increase has sparked mixed reactions among potential buyers. While Nammi’s premium features justify the hike, competitors offering similar vehicles at lower prices could sway budget-conscious customers. Brands like Dongfeng, which emphasize value for money, may pose a significant challenge. However, Nammi’s reputation for quality and innovation, coupled with its strategic entry into global markets, may keep it a preferred choice among tech-savvy buyers seeking premium experiences.
