Zeekr X Coming to Nepal: Experience the Pinnacle of Stylish Electric Performance

Chinese automaker Zeekr is a part of Geely Automobile Holdings. It was established in 2021 with the primary goal of creating premium electric vehicles. Following the publication of the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr 009, the third model in this line-up is this premium-class luxury electric crossover SUV which has been designed and formulated with high-tech features and elegant style. The Zeekr X is developed with the SEA2(Sustainable Experience Architecture), a revolutionary new architecture that can enable performance and solving real-world functions at the same time. Its main materials include steel frame and aluminum, and has aerodynamic and muscular design with many premium features.

Performance and Battery

The Zeekr X comes with two different variants with impressive performance across both variants. The 200 kW high-performance rear motor and 66 kWh battery of the RWD variant allow for a 5.6-second 0-100 km/h acceleration and a 440 km WLTP range. With a 200 kW rear motor and a 115 kW front motor, the AWD variant improves driving dynamics while making the acceleration from 0-100 km/h go faster—just 3.8 seconds. Though its WLTP range is slightly lower at 420 km, this version still has the same 66 kWh battery. Both variants have fast charging capabilities: a 30-minute DC fast charge charges the battery from 10% to 80%, while an AC charge takes 11.5 hours for the RWD variant with a 7.2 kW charger or 7.5 hours for the AWD variant with an 11 kW charger to reach a full charge.

Design

The Zeekr X has an elegant and modern look that attracts attention to its cutting-edge engineering and premium appeal. The Zeekr X, which comes in two variants, has an aerodynamic, streamline shape and a unique front face with full LED headlights and a light show feature. The Zeekr X appears quite dynamic and sleek from the side view, thanks to its smooth surfacing and the blacked-out pillars that provide the illusion of a "floating roof." A well-built body is stretched for sportiness with strong lines at the doors and fenders on the outside. In addition, both variants have an electric tailgate that can be raised or lowered and frameless windows. The AWD has even larger 19-inch forged wheels or the largest 20-inch forged wheels to clearly show a more agile and high-performance character. The RWD variant has 18-inch alloy wheels. A panoramic sunroof enhances the interior cabin's feeling of space and airiness in both models. Furthermore, the selection of luxurious exterior colors and sport accents provides further opportunities for customization. The Zeekr X has a wide stance, with horizontally extending tail lights linked by a thin light bar that meets at the central Zeekr symbol below the tilted back windshield. The lower bumper includes diffusers and narrow vertical reflectors. Furthermore, the bottom half of the front bumper has a large air intake bordered by vertical pieces that contain extra lights or sensors, which improves the car's aesthetic appeal.

Comfort and Convenience

The Zeekr X smoothly mixes comfort and convenience into both variants, resulting in a superior driving experience customized to a variety of needs. In the RWD variant, occupants benefit from a number of practical features designed to improve daily usability, such as PVC seats with six-way powered adjustments for the driver, a manual foldable backrest for the second-row seats, and a panoramic sunroof that adds an extra layer of openness to the cabin. The powered liftgate and frameless windows add a clean look, modern appearance, and also offer functionality comfort. Conversely, the AWD variant gets a lot of luxury by being outfitted with soft Polar White or Purple PVC seats that feature better ventilation and four-way power lumbar adjustment for both the driver and front passenger to offer maximum comfort during long travels. This variation also includes a powerful 13-speaker Yamaha surround stereo system and the advanced 8155 Intelligent Cockpit Computing Platform, which provide a seamless, high-tech interface. Both models have a wide range of convenience features, with the AWD variant including electric release front and rear doors, a smart climate-controlled cockpit with two-zone climate management, and wireless charging. The AWD variant improves the driving experience with an augmented reality HUD, an enhanced climate control system, and faster charging capabilities. The AWD variation includes ambient lighting options and innovative cockpit features, ensuring that each trip is not just comfortable but also effortlessly connected, reaching the greatest standards of modern automobile design.

Safety Features

The Zeekr X comes equipped with safety features across both models, providing optimum safety for all passengers. Both variants come with a full package of features, including a 360-degree video system, seven airbags, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Keeping Assist. The RWD variant includes critical safety features such as Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Descent Control (HDC), Anti-Rolling Program (ARP), and Brake Assist System, whereas the AWD variant adds Automatic Lane Change (ALC), Front Cross Traffic Assist (FCTA), and Blind Spot Detection. Both variants include Parking Emergency Braking (PEB), Electronic Traction Control (TCS), and a Low-Speed Pedestrian Warning Sound, as well as Collision Mitigation Support (CMS) for the front and rear.

Price and Availability

The Zeekr X will be available in two variants, aimed at different needs and wallets: an entry-level Rear model aimed at affordability with impressive range, and an All-Wheel Drive model with superior performance from its dual-motor setup at a higher cost and reduced range. The estimated range of Zeekr X's pricing in Nepal would lie between Rs. 1 Crore and Rs. 1.5 Crores, where the price for the Rear-Wheel Drive variant is likely to be around Rs. 1 Crore and the All-Wheel Drive variant is likely to be priced at Rs. 1.5 Crores. The Zeekr X will have its launch at the 2024 NADA Auto Show, where these high-tech features and premium design are likely to attract a lot of attention from visitors and car enthusiasts.
